Shannon and Gary met nine years ago at SUNY Cortland, an esteemed university in Upstate New York. The spark between them was kindled when Gary invited Shannon to a party at his friend's house, and their connection blossomed from there.

Today, Shannon loves how Gary always supports her unconditionally and his sense of humor which always manages to make her smile. For Gary, being able to be himself around Shannon and having a great time together in any situation is what makes their relationship so special. The journey they have taken together over the past nine years has been an incredible one, and they look forward to the exciting adventures they will embark on in the future.

One thing the couple loves to do together is watch the golden hour. Every Friday night, they make sure to take some time away from their busy schedules and find a spot outside or in town with a great view of the sunset. Whether it's perched on top of a mountain, relaxing at the beach, or enjoying happy hour in one of their favorite local spots, Shannon and Gary make it a priority to savor these precious moments together. So, when it came time to pop the question, Gary knew he wanted to do something special and memorable. He decided that the perfect place to ask Shannon to spend her life with him would be at their favorite lake in her hometown of Sparta, NJ. Gary took Shannon out for what she thought was a casual boat ride with her family before dinner. Little did Shannon know that Gary had planned something much more special in store for her! With the help of friends and family, he set up an elaborate surprise proposal right on the dock of Lake Mohawk. To Shannon's utter surprise and delight, Gary got down on one knee and asked her to marry him - in front of all their friends and family! After the proposal, they celebrated with a huge party back at Shannon's parents'; house with even more friends and family.

We loved being a part of Shannon and Gary's beautiful day at The Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, NJ. We wish them many years of happiness.
