Getting engaged is one of the biggest milestones in every couples’ relationship! It is an exciting time meant to celebrate your commitment and love for one another. Setting up an engagement* photo session is the perfect way to document some of the earlier memories prior to tying the knot. You get to choose a place that is sentimental to the two of you, or select a brand new location that you love. One of the major benefits of an engagement photoshoot is that it allows you time to get to know your photographer in advanced. You get a sneak preview into one of the artists for your wedding, and will already have a taste of their process. When this happens, we have found that couples that have engagement sessions are more comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera on their wedding day.

Rachel & Joe had a stunning backdrop for their hidden proposal in Battery Park, NYC. Joe had his sister reach out to us to help plan the entire thing and he did not miss a detail! He sent us a photo of exactly where he had a florist coming to do a flower arch that he was going to propose in front of so that we could see the Freedom Tower in the background. That morning Rachel had just gotten back into town from a friend’s bachelorette party in Miami. Joe picked her up from the airport and told her he had a fun day planned out for them. He had a picknick set up for them in Battery Park, overlooking the water. After the picknick he walked Rachel over to the flower arch and as soon as she saw it, she knew he was about to propose. Crowds of people gathered around waiting to witness the proposal and cheered them on when she said yes. We walked around the park after and did a mini photo session. You could feel the love between them, it pours out of every photo. It was such an honor to be there to capture beautiful memories for them to cherish over the years to come.
Mark & Presley are Co-Owners of Revel Studios so you can imagine how excited the entire team was when Mark finally proposed last year! (I say finally because we all used to tease him about popping the question because they have been together 9 years.) Their engagement session took place at Longwood Gardens and it was absolutely beautiful there! We had so much fun. It is an honor to be able to capture special memories for all our couples but this one is extra special! We look forward to celebrating Mark & Presley on their wedding day at Brigalias this May!
Kaitlyn & Michael met at MJs Bar & Grill in Bayville, NJ. Shortly after they had their first date and have been together ever since. They were together almost 3 years when Michael decided to propose. The morning of the proposal they drove to PA to pick up their new puppy. When they got home Michael told Kaitlyn to check out the puppy’s back because there was something on him and when she looked up, he was on one knee holding the ring. She was completely surprised and so excited to have a new puppy and be engaged all in the same day! Michael & Kaitlyn love the beach, so Seaside Heights was the perfect location to do their engagement session. They are a great couple, filled with so much love for each other and you can really see it in the photos. We had a blast working with them and we can not wait for the wedding this December!
JohnAnthony reached out to us to see if we would be available to do a hidden proposal at Barnegat Lighthouse. He was planning to propose to Briana and wanted to have it documented. Mike and I were so excited because we LOVE hidden proposals. After a few meetings we had the location scouted out and all the plans in motion. JohnAnthony even created a website to make it look like there was a wine tasting event they were attending at the lighthouse. That week the forecast said it might rain and when we got to the parking lot it started to thunder. Mike and I were so nervous to say the least. We waited patiently for them to arrive with a bottle of champagne on ice for when he popped the question. Everything turned out perfectly and the sun came out for us at the end of our mini engagement session. We had so much fun with JohnAnthony and Briana. You can see the love they have for each other and we loved being a part of their special day.
Carly & Kyle were on a family vacation together in Aruba when he proposed. He hired a photographer to take “family” photos on the beach. After the photos were finished, they did a couple’s session and he surprised Carly & proposed during the session. She was completely surprised and had no idea the entire vacation but looking back she said her brother and Kyle were acting a little strange on the walk to the beach to take the photos.
This was Revel Studios first engagement session at Race Street Pier in Philadelphia, PA and it did not disappoint. We had a great time with Carly, Kyle and their dog Mac. They are such a fun couple and we are so excited to capture their wedding next year!
Rebecca & Luke met at a bar in Hermosa beach and it was love at first site. A year later Luke proposed at the top of a mountain after a beautiful hike. He asked her to film him talking and Rebecca didn’t realize it was a proposal until he dropped out of the frame and got on one knee! She said she just about fell off the cliff with the camera in her hand. It’s amazing that they have this beautiful moment all on tape! 12 years later they are still going strong and even more in love every day. This is one of my most favorite engagement sessions! As you can see they were not afraid to really have some fun for the camera!
Ashley & Brandon had their first date during the Covid lockdown. It wasn’t your typical first date. They spent the day walking her dog Kylo around the Manasquan inlet. Once the inlet closed, they continued the day at the park in Lavallette. They spent many other days there getting to know each other. They would hang out, talk, play games and walk the dog. A few years later, Brandon surprised Ashley by proposing to her at that very park. He told her they were going out to lunch with friends and when they arrived at the park, he had champagne and a “Will You Marry Me?” sign set up. Ashley was in shock! We had their engagement session at Island Beach State Park and then decided to end it at the dock where Brandon proposed. It was such a fun day & we really enjoyed getting to know them. We are so excited to capture their wedding next year at Crystal Point Yacht Club.
Hristina & Anthony met in middle school and have been together since their senior year in high school. They were together about 8.5 years when Anthony decided to pop the question. They were on vacation in Aruba and during dinner, Hristina thought the staff was about to sing Happy Birthday but instead Anthony was proposing! Their engagement shoot was magical! We started at the beach in Lavallette and then finished at the gazebo on the bay side of the town. The sunset was stunning that day. We had a great evening working with them and their sweet dogs. We cannot wait for their wedding at The Carriage House next year.
Nicole and Chris met at a Halloween party right out of high school. Chris started talking to Nicole because she was dressed up as a hockey player and he was a hockey player, so it was the perfect conversation starter. Shortly after they had their first date. They went for a walk on the trail in Blueberry Hill and grabbed something to eat after. Chris proposed 5 years later. He had originally planned on proposing in Disney but at the time Disney was closed due to Covid. They decided to take a trip to New Hampshire instead. On that trip Chris surprised Nicole and proposed in a rose garden in the mountains. He had the ring made with some of the stones that were originally in Nicole’s grandmothers ring. Their engagement session took place at one of my favorite locations, Batso Village. I had a great time with them and their fur babies, Titan & Odessa and I can’t wait for the wedding!
