Jessica and Matthew have been together for 12 years, since they first met during their pre-season Sophomore year of college soccer at William Paterson University. Over the course of their relationship, the two have become each other's best friends and are always there to support one another in times of need. Jessica has found that she can always count on Matthew to make her smile or laugh even when she doesn't want to, due to his kind nature and tendency to put others before himself.

A typical date night for the two is usually dinner at a new restaurant and then coming home to watch a movie. With Jessica and Matthew, it's all about finding joy in the little things!

One day, Matthew told Jessica that he was taking her out for his cousin's birthday brunch in Spring Lake. They parked the car and decided to cut through Divine Park to get to the restaurant. As they were walking down by the water Jessica turned around and saw Matthew down on one knee. She looked around in disbelief and realized that Matthew had planned a surprise engagement proposal for her! Later that day, they arrived at Matthew's Aunt's house where Jessica was surprised again by all their family and friends who had come to celebrate the special occasion. It was a truly magical day that she will never forget!
